Chef Bio

Born and raised in the countryside north of NYC, Chef Garett discovered his passion for cooking at a young age in his mother’s kitchen. After finishing his training at Culinary Institute of America and cooking in New Orleans for half a year, Garett began his culinary journey. The drive for great restaurants and fresh ingredients eventually brought Chef Garett to 5 Star/5 Diamond hotel ‘The Little Nell’ in Aspen, Colorado and then to San Francisco where Garett trained under 3 Star Michelin Chef Laurent Gras at the ‘Fifth Floor’. After a few years of cooking in the Bay area, the curiosity for new food and new places took over once again.

Garett embarked on a several years journey of world travel and food exploration. Extensively traveling in Europe, India, Morocco, Southeast Asia and Central America has added many elements of international flavor to the fresh and local style of Garett’s cooking.

Now residing in Nevada County, Chef Garett is excited to share with you his creativity and the abundance of local flavors.
